Privacy

This page says what tanmai.org keeps about you when you visit, and what it does not. It covers the public pages: the homepage, the timeline, About, Contact, this page and LevelUp. Last changed October 21, 2026.

What the site does not do

What the server writes down

Like most web servers, this one writes a line for each request: the time, your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser's name (its user agent). Cookies and sign-in headers are left out. The lines are used to find and block attacks. They stay on the server, and older lines are deleted as new ones are written.

What your browser keeps

The homepage stores one value, "home-seen", in your browser's local storage, so its text comes in faster on your next visit. Open tanmai.org/?replay to clear it. The site's service worker keeps an offline page and the site's static files (code, fonts and icons) so that pages load faster. It never keeps the text of a page.

LevelUp

When you use LevelUp, what you type, and the text of a resume you add, is sent to Anthropic's Claude to write the answers. Your resume is read in your browser; the file itself is not uploaded. Job titles are looked up with O*NET, and a LinkedIn profile you give is looked up with Exa. LevelUp keeps no database of what you type. The server's logs record a LinkedIn handle you give and how many messages a chat has.

Where it runs

The site runs on one server at Amazon Web Services in Northern California. The domain's DNS is at Vercel.
